A little bit about me…
…sadly, the top knot is no longer but my passion and love for adventure is still strong.
Adventure – an unusual and exciting or daring experience.
Hi, Hola, Bonjour. I’m Lou.
6 years ago at the ripe age of 19 I decided to qualify as a Personal Trainer and turn my then hobby into a career and a viable way of making money whilst helping others.
Fast forward a couple of years and working for someone else I decided it was time to venture into my own business and go it alone. That was that, The Fitness Academy was born and I spent a huge sum of my money (£56) on interlocking mats and a whiteboard.
That’s all I needed to start The Fitness Academy, which then was outdoor sessions at 6AM in a cold, wet and miserable field.
But we persisted.
We grew.
We developed.
Before I knew it we had over 65 members and our own gym, just like that. I’d gone from coaching 3 times a week to 33 times a week and I’d gone from helping a handful, to hundreds of people every week.
For me the entire Academy journey from mats and a whiteboard to our own private personal training studio was and adventure…
…I wanted that again.
In December of 2018 I sold my gym and now I’m pursuing an adventure of similar sorts to that of my journey through Personal training and gym ownership.
Much the same story in I have no real idea of what I’m doing, no real idea of what will happen in the next 6, 12 or 18 months.
BUT to me that IS adventure.
The unknown.
The risks.
The spontaneity of what might be.
Soon I’ll be the owner of a beautiful motorhome and we’ll finally be able to start joining the dots on our first adventure. Which if you want to find out where I’m heading first, stay tuned for tomorrow where we’ll reveal all!
But seems as you’re new around here and I’d LOVE to get to know you as we embark on this exciting journey together. Tell me…
What is your biggest or most memorable adventure?
I’d love to hear from you in the comments below.
