We left from Kawaru historic bridge site where we camped the night for Wanaka, not too far away about an hour.

A full day of adventure… and sun!
The same as every morning I woke up and started opening the little roof vent above our bed. To our surprise it was the bluest sky we have seen so far. Winner!
Milford sound, no words needed
We set our alarms early, got up made coffee and got on the road before 7AM. We had a long drive ahead of us and wanted to get into Milford sound as early as we could.
We made it to Queenstown!
This morning started with the usual van life duties. More waste dumping and topping up with fresh water. Unfortunately it was cloudy and wet this morning so couldn’t see our supposedly lakeside view.
19200km away from home!
Our day started early with a drive over to Cathedral cove/cave which is a huge cave system on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. Another stunning rainforest track down to the beach and then inside the gigantic cave that is cathedral cove.
Stopped by the NZ police
Today started with our first campervan toilet experience… at 4AM! Safe to say it was hilarious. Picture us clambering down a tiny ladder, both half asleep and, both needing the toilet at the same time.
Home for the next 25 days
Meet Kiki!
Today we travelled from Auckland to Christchurch to collect her from Kia Ora Campers.
